Tim Yue

Timothy Yue is a dancer and choreographer for Tap Team Two and Company. He created the show, Slumber Party, an entirely improvised show, and whose concert film was an official selection of the Amsterdam Lift-Off Film Festival 2020. He has choreographed many exciting pieces such as Tim’s Take on Take Five, a tap interpretation of the Dave Brubeck song; and Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca. He recreated a famous Bill Robinson solo from The Littlest Rebel; and LaVaughn Robinson's For Drummers Only. As a member of Tap Team Two, he has performed Hoofing in America in seven states. Tim has taught tap dance at Temple University. He researched early American tap dancers on a Public Development Dance Advance grant. He hosted the tap site, Timothy Tap Dancing 2006 -2008. Tim designed and built electronic tap shoes, which generate a wide range of drum sounds. He was a dancer for Shining Time Station Live. Tim has been tap dancing for thirty-four years. Tim studied Tap with LaVaughn Robinson. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania. While a student at the University of Pennsylvania, he studied Tabla (Indian classical drumming) with K. Prashant.
