Kathryn Schweingruber

Kathryn Schweingruber is a versatile dancer, teacher and choreographer from Philadelphia, PA. She received her primary tap training through Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center from Jaye Allison and Robert F Burden, Jr., where she was also a member of JADA Tap Ensemble.

Kathryn went on to earn a B.S in Dance from Drexel University, where she performed in Drexel Dance Ensemble and was involved in several community based learning opportunities. She has attended summer programs at Earl Mosley’s Institute for the Arts, Philadanco and Urban Bush Women’s Summer Leadership Institute.

After graduating from Drexel in 2020, Kathryn spent two years as an ArtistYear Resident Teaching Artist at Samuel Fels High School while continuing a freelance performance career. Her most recent performances include dancing for the Philadelphia Jazz Tap Ensemble, Academy of Phresh Performance Company, Imani Records, and Mijkalena Smith. Kathryn teaches and choreographs for several studios and schools in the Philadelphia area.
